Shchukin's alias UNKN (also called UNKNOWN) was disclosed in a bulletin issued by Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt or BKA). According to the BKA, Shchukin and a 43-year-old accomplice, Anatoly Sergeevitsch Kravchuk, obtained nearly two million euros through two dozen cyber intrusions that inflicted over 35 million euros in collective financial harm.
